Richard M. Loew, Esq.

Richard M. Loew was born and raised in the Los Angeles area as the son of immigrant parents who came from Nicaragua and Germany.  His understanding of the lives and struggles of immigrants pushed him to seek ways in which he could help immigrants in all communities.

Atty. Loew is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, having earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.  While at UCLA, Atty. Loew continued to work vigorously towards his academic success, and at the same time continued to pursue his interest in music.  He was a member of the nationally acclaimed UCLA Marching Band that played in the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

After earning his baccalaureate degree, Atty. Loew entered the prestigious King Hall School of Law at the University of California, Davis.  After passing the California State Bar in 1990, Atty. Loew worked for a civil litigation firm in San Diego handling various types of civil matters such as personal injury, business litigation, and corporate transactional matters.  Atty. Loew then took advantage of an opportunity to travel and become acquainted with another culture by living and working in Japan for two years, thereby strengthening his skills in working with a diverse clientele.

Upon returning to the United States, Atty. Loew founded his own law firm where he served the varied legal needs of the diverse Los Angeles community.  Ultimately, his work became centered on immigrants and immigration issues, garnering him a reputation as a stalwart counselor at law in presenting straightforward legal advice to immigrants.

In 2000, Atty. Loew joined the law firm of Aquino & Aquino as an Associate Attorney.  After nearly ten years with Aquino & Aquino, Atty. Loew’s commitment and dedication to the law firm was honored through the renaming of the firm to Aquino & Loew.  With his in-depth knowledge of the immigration laws and ability to analyze complex cases, Atty. Loew handles all immigration matters with a focus on family-based petitions, waivers for fraud and criminal convictions, consular processing, and defense of individuals in removal proceedings.

Atty. Loew is certified by the State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization, as an Immigration & Nationality Law Specialist, a prestigious recognition currently held by only approximately 210 attorneys throughout the state of California.  Atty. Loew appears regularly as an immigration expert on the television program Kababayan Today.  Atty. Loew is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and is actively leading several grassroots organizations aimed to improving the quality of life and education in his residential community of Eagle Rock.
